Overall, especially considering the good price, it's a sure recommendation. The only possible weak spot is the cable, which is not very thick and could be prone to snap at the case entry (had this issue with another H&K switch). Wanted something that would work well with my overall set up and be useful for both stage and studio work.

I had been considering options for an upgrade to my current amp for a while. The case is solid metal and is heavy enough to withstand the rough use on tour, the switches are also solid and allow for noiseless channel switching (and this for almost ten years with my first one now). The approach that H&K have taken to the design of the amp and the compromises they have made for the lunchbox format work really well for me. The design is good, the switches are easily reachable and the are their distance allows easy access without accidentaly hitting both. I use two of them with a Tubemeister 36 and they do their job pretty nicely (even if the Tubemeister is a 3-channel amp, this footswitch works pretty intuitively and has never elt me down so far). The Hughes & Kettner FS-2 is a two-channel footswitch, which is primarily designed for the various H&K amplifiers on the market but works equally well on most other amps I've tested it on (as long as they support two-channel-switches).
